MAANTA RAAY is a riff-casting, power trio from Nashville, Tennessee. Their self-titled debut will be out summer 2025 on No Sabes, and comes from the heavier side of psychedelia. While the influences are apparent — Leigh Stephens (Blue Cheer), Jaki Liebezeit (CAN), Daphne Oram, Randy Rhoads, James Jamerson, Ron Asheton — the record’s interstellar overdrive vs droned-out tempos, musi-quinox arrangements, sometimes garage rawness (members include ex-Quadrajets, Immortal Lee County Killers, and Modern Convenience) and unleashed layers of sonica, all testify that the band’s mission is to make it new. Full length self titled 12" vinyl out July 2025 with a run of dates in the UK and Germany for support of the new release.

The album "OVER" features eight tracks of the most beautifully wretched sounds and heaviest riffs spread across a 38-minutes. Alternating between dismal, down-tuned drudge and caucophonous blasts of chaos, Over promises to be one of the most imaginative heavy albums of the year. Over is the first release from My Wall since returning from their Japanese tour. It’s followup to the band’s debut album Mine (2020) and the 12” EP “The Event/Abuse (2021.) With two singles released in the run up to the LP – “Guts” and "Evolve" – the LP will be out on November 22 on 12" black vinyl and streaming platforms.

My Wall "EVOLVE"
This is a song of accentuation, riff, and hell hammers. Then a stanza break: A single guitar begins the grooviest, heaviest open road riff any fan of Pentagram would love to ride forever, until the song morphs again from cruising in an ’87 Buick Grand National to new hell hammers. The notes follow the philosophy of the words: “You give your life to kill prey/ I give my life to see you act that way … Evolve- you resolve – to absolve -who?” The song ends in a sudden question mark of reverb. Evolution continues beyond the frame of any good painting, poem, song, or soul. My Wall creates a new beast spliced from the DNA sequences of legendary origin, a new Prometheus unbound with the coif of King Buzzo and the flared jeans of Bobby Liebling.

That much feedback, distortion, and a beat that is more dirge than time, should not make a song. The song's lyric says, “without hope, still you fight,” likewise My Wall never surrenders, instead they construct a song of purposeful feedback, a beat that is implicitly head swaying, and vocals and distortion that live hand in hand. Fans of both the mega-zillion selling Soundgarden and ultra-underground Burning Witch can rock together here in peace.

“Nostalgia De Mar” El Nuevo Sonido De Animaleja Animaleja releases her debut album, "Nostalgia De Mar". This album is an invitation to immerse yourself in a universe with an aesthetic defined by the beach and the sea as symbolic elements around an urban-tropical relationship, where the beach and the city intertwine, and create a fresh musical experience for the listeners. “Nostalgia del mar" is an introspective journey that explores Animaleja's sonic identity through a wide range of musical genres. "Tú Me Traes Calma" is a song about a quiet day on the beach. The voice narrates the author's internal thoughts and also makes word games with elements of the landscape of an afternoon on Barra beach in the Colombian Pacific. The guitar plays with riffs that evoke genres such as African soukous and champeta, the groove of the song with its tropical percussion and bright synths invites us to dance and “patch ourselves.” Listen to this song while watching the sunset and drinking something cool.

"Medallo lemonade" is a cocktail that evokes Medellín. First you serve a little white rum that describes the party energy in the city, a little soda to refresh yourself, and cheers for the bikers, cyclists and skaters in the middle of the sun on any avenue of Medallo. On the fields the sand heats up and people demand energy. Playing and looking for fights, every day the search continues in the peripheries.The north heats up, then comes the lemon that is the cherry on the cake for The “lemonade”. The neighborhood is apparently for sale. Medallo Lemonade is a bittersweet and fun musical cocktail that tells what the city of Medellín is about, I recommend you try it, whoever can have it! The song features Lucas Guingue. DJ and producer under the name Dj Fauno and vocalist of the group Bajo Tierra, a decisive band in the development of rock in Colombia.
