[PAID] Mixtape Translucent Red Cassette Tape
Boogie Mason - "[PAID] Mixtape"
The Japanese beat maker returns with a stacked mixtape of bite sized beats that marry hi-fi sound with lo-fi heart. Smooth, sample-laden, and straight from Shizuoka, [PAID] finds the producer at his most consistent: tight arrangements, hip-hop knock, and soul in every pocket. At just under 30 minutes, [PAID] is a mini-masterclass in golden-era hip-hop groove.

Bursting - ST 12" black vinyl
Bursting - "Bursting"
The first thing you need to know about Chicago’s Bursting is that they are a supergroup. With members of Stress Positions, Thou, C.H.E.W., and Coliseum (among others), it’s safe to say Bursting, on paper, rip.
Bursting make menacing post-hardcore and it’s abundantly clear they’re having so much fun doing so. Not many bands feature Naruto runs in their music videos, and I’d bet even less make merch stickers in the Barbie font.
If you’ve ever enjoyed The Only Rock Radio Station In Your Area, Bursting is for you. Their music may remind you of bands like Quicksand, Hot Snakes, Jawbox, or Shiner, but it also may remind you of bands like Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, or Incubus. Bursting’s first LP is capital “A” Alternative rock; highly melodic yet crushing in a way that sheds light on its members’ projects and influence.

Ruido Selecto "Cumbia Soundsystem" 7" black vinyl
Ruido Selecto - "Cumbia Soundsystem"
"I'm not going to pretend like I know much about the world from which this record comes, all I know is that if I see a record with "cumbia soundsystem" on the label, I will grab it every time.
Cha-cha dub style with reverb-soaked samples, organ accents and synth-fueled melodies, I'd venture to guess you don't have any records like this on your shelf. It's ok, I won't tell anybody, just grab this one and your secret is safe with me.
I'm only the slightest bit fearful that this leads me down an entirely new rabbit hole, previously unexplored, that eventually leads to my financial downfall. If (when?) that happens, at the very least I'll be sure to keep you here apprised of the standouts."

My Wall "OVER" 12" black vinyl
My Wall - "OVER"
The album features eight tracks
of the most beautifully wretched sounds and
heaviest riffs spread across a 38-minutes.
Alternating between dismal, down-tuned drudge
and cacophonous blasts of chaos, Over promises to
be one of the most imaginative heavy albums of the
year. "Over" is the first release from My Wall since
returning from their Japanese tour. It’s followup to
the band’s debut album Mine (2020) and the 12” EP
“The Event/Abuse (2021.) With two singles released
in the run up to the LP – “Guts” and "Evolve" – the LP
will be out on November 22 on streaming platforms.
"The album is a fucking killer – punishingly heavy, but also a really unique and authentic style. I thoroughly enjoyed becoming familiar with it"
- James Plotkin (Plotkinworks, O.L.D., Khanate)
"...Like Charon navigating across the River Styx… Fans of both mega zillion selling Soundgarden and ultra-underground Burning Witch can rock together here in peace."
- Chet Weise (The Quadrajets, Immortal Lee County Killers)
LIYL: Boris, Melvins, Burning Witch
Animaleja - "Nostalgia De Mar" Ocean Blue splattered vinyl
“Nostalgia del mar" is an introspective journey that explores Animaleja's sonic identity through a wide range of musical genres. From soukous, cumbia and champeta to trip hop and bass music. The album offers a sonic palette rich and varied, where percussions and bass play a fundamental role. Animaleja's voice accompanied by the melodies of the synths and guitars, creates atmospheres and soundscapes that evoke a psychedelic and surreal sunset on the beach in the middle of a terrace in a Medellín neighborhood.
